A COLOURFUL GAMUT OF EMOTIONS
Mr. Rajesh Soni is an ofcer in a PSU who is also an amateur photographer with a special interest in Theatrical Photography. His photographs have been exhibited and awarded at several prestigious exhibitions.
Since 2014 , he has covered more than 200 theatre performances across the country for his passion for capturing theatrical emotions. He has special interest in capturing how actors perform and express their emotions.
'Rang Navras' is a theatrical photography exhibition which is a collection of photographs of actors captured by Mr. Rajesh Soni during play performances at Rang Rajasthan and other national level theatre festivals.
This exhibition is a colorful gamut of emotions which is conceptualized on nine emotions in Theatre which are called 'Navrasas'. These emotions are Shringara (love/beauty), Hasya (laughter), Karuna(sorrow), Raudra (anger), Veera (heroism/courage), Bhayanaka (terror/fear), Bibhatsa (disgust), Adbutha (surprise/wonder) and Shantha (peace or tranquility).
Just as in life, also in photography, feelings come from within. Photographs constitute emotions, feelings, state of mind and behaviour. They often convey a message. Photography is all about evoking feelings and emotions. They can be hidden and obscure, or specic and obvious. This exhibition is a place for you to experience them all.
